DNA Testing Procedure
The testing procedure may be complex for the laboratory, but it is simple for the client. In many cases, she merely needs to collect a cheek swab using a Q-tip.
If the person being tested is resistant, she may be able to collect an adequate DNA sample from hair (say, from a comb or hairbrush) or from a glass or cigarette butt.
Consult with the company doing the genetic testing to learn what they can use for a DNA sample.
